Happy 50th Birthday Nigeria
It was 50 years ago on October 1, 1960 that our beloved Nigeria began its life as a newly independent nation.
As Africa's most populous nation and with the largest number of graduates among African countries, it start with a huge promise. Most would agree that Nigeria has failed to live up to its promise, but we believe that the future is still bright for Nigeria especially as one considers the achievements of Nigerians in the homeland and in the Diaspora - achievements in music, fashion, pageants, sports and movies. The Nigerian Students Association is committed to being a part of bringing Nigeria's promise to fruition.
We invite all Nigerians and non-Nigerians to join us in celebrating Nigeria's Golden Jubilee and wishing the world's eight most populous country a happy 50th birthday.
